Choose ADB Mouse. The other options are relevant to PC linux systems only.
Note: The "emulate three buttons" option was not applicable in MkLinux at the time DR3 was released.
All mice on supported Apple computers are ADB type mice. This is a very different situation than in the PC world where a wide variety of mice exist due to a lack of standards. More recent Macintosh models (the iMac for example) have USB mice. No USB support is currently available for MkLinux.
I have a single button mouse. How will I use the middle and right mouse buttons?
On a single button mouse, the physical button works as the left button of a multibutton mouse. The middle mouse button is emulated by pressing the key combination Option-2. The right mouse button is emulated by pressing Option-3.
Note: If you have a Radius keyboard, this will not work. It seems that the Radius keyboards send a different keycode when the option button is used than do other macintosh keyboards. If you are using a Radius keyboard, you will (for the time being) need to replace it with another keyboard. Pressing the option key will crash the X window server. Until the developers can obtain a Radius keyboard, or the owner of a Radius keyboard chooses to solve the problem for the community, this problem is likely to remain.
Are any multibutton mice available and supported?
MkLinux is able to handle a number of different multibutton ADB mice on the Macintosh. The number of supported multibutton mice has increased since the release of DR3.
